What personally identifiable information does Tri Media Marketing collect from me?
Tri Media Marketing collects information in several ways from different parts of our network of web sites.

We may ask you for personal information at other times, including (but not limited to) when you enter a sweepstakes, contest or promotion sponsored by Tri Media Marketing and/or our many partners; when you make a purchase using our partner's sites; when you submit a listing for a web site; and when you report a problem with one of our sites or services. If you contact Tri Media Marketing we may keep a record of that correspondence. Tri Media Marketing also occasionally asks users to complete surveys that we use for research purposes. Wherever Tri Media Marketing collects personal information, we make an effort to include a link to this Privacy Policy on that page.

Tri Media Marketing is the sole owner of the information collected on this site. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement. We will share personal information you give us with our partners so that they can provide the information, goods or services you request. Tri Media Marketing collects information from our users at several different points on our website.

Who collects information on www.thechristianhome.net?
One of the main reasons visitors come to www.thechristianhome.net is because we serve as the middle-man connecting them to suppliers who provide goods or services to home schoolers and Christian families.

Our partners and advertisers allow us to share information with you and, as you request, provide them with information so they can give more detailed data, or contact you directly.

At an individual's requests, we will forward their contact information to an advertiser so the advertiser can contact them with additional information about their products and/or services.

How does Tri Media use the information it collects on www.thechristianhome.net?
Information will be gathered and combined with other www.thechristianhome.net visitors and shared as a group with advertisers, clients, and partners so they may be able to offer you goods and services more attuned to your desires. This data is aggregated to display facts like "27% of homeschoolers visiting our site went to the math curriculum page."

Occasionally Tri Media Marketing also does research on our users' demographics, interests, and behavior based on the information provided to us upon registration, during a promotion, from our server log files or from surveys. We do this to better understand and serve our users. This research is compiled and analyzed on an aggregated basis. Tri Media Marketing may share this aggregated data with advertisers or business partners.

We will share aggregated demographic information with our partners and advertisers. This is not linked to any personal information that can identify any individual person.

If you request information about any of the goods or services provided by our clients on our site, we will share your basic shipping information with them so they can properly provide your request. We do not collect, so cannot share, information like Social Security numbers or credit card numbers with anyone. Some of our clients may request that information in order to bill you for their goods or services. You may choose to provide that information to them. To share that information is at your discretion.

At other times on our site, we partner with another party to provide specific services. When the user signs up for these services, we will share names, or other contact information that is necessary for the third party to provide these services.

These parties are not allowed to use personally identifiable information except for the purpose of providing these services.

What are cookies? Does Tri Media use them on www.thechristianhome.net?
A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's hard drive containing information about the user. Cookies are used on our site to tailor content for each user that visits our site. They are used to maintain the location that you are at within the website, so that when you return again you are returned to the same position. For instance, by setting a cookie on our site, the user might not have to log in a password more than once, thereby saving time while on our site. A second use might be to ensure settings preferred by the user are respected. If a user rejects the cookie, they may still use our site. The only drawback to this is that the user will be limited in some functionality in some areas of our site. For example, the user will not be able to participate in any of our Sweepstakes, Contests or monthly drawings that take place. Cookies can also enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance the experience on our site.

Tri Media Marketing may also use cookies to measure certain traffic patterns, which areas of Tri Media's network of web sites you have visited, and your visiting patterns in the aggregate. We use this research to understand how our users' habits are similar or different from one another so that we can make each new experience on www.thechristianhome.net a better one. We may use this information to better personalize the content, banners, and promotions that you and other users will see on our sites.

Advertising networks that serve ads onto Tri Media Marketing may also use their own cookies.

Tri Media Marketing also collects IP addresses for system administration and to report aggregate information to our advertisers. In addition, Tri Media Marketing Mail includes IP addresses in outgoing mail message headers. We use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track user's movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are usually not easily linked to personally identifiable information.

Some of our business partners use cookies on our site (for example, advertisers). However, we have no access to or control over these cookies.

What about links to other pages?
This web site contains links to other sites. Please be aware that we at TRI MEDIA MARKETING are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of each and every web site that collects personally identifiable information. This privacy statement applies solely to information collected by this Web site.

How will signing up for your Newsletter, surveys or contests effect my privacy?
If a user wishes to subscribe to our newsletter, we ask for contact information such as name and email address.

From time-to-time, our site requests information from users via surveys or contests. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary and the user therefore has a choice whether or not to disclose this information. Information requested may include contact information (such as name and shipping address), and demographic information (such as zip code, age level). Contact information will be used to notify the winners and award prizes. Survey information will be used for purposes of monitoring or improving the use and satisfaction of this site.

In addition, if you win one of our contests, we may ask you for a letter of confirmation that you have received the prizes or reward offered in the contest. We will keep that information on file, and may use that in the future on our websites, in our advertising and to prove that we do give away the prizes we say we give away.

How secure is www.thechristianhome.net ?
This website takes every precaution to protect our users' information. When users submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and off-line.

No data transmission service over the Internet or any network that uses wireless components (as most phone lines do) can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, Tri Media Marketing cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us or from our online products or services, and you do so at your own risk. Once we receive your transmission, we make our best effort to ensure its security on our systems.

Some miscellaneous information.

Supplementation of Information

In order for this website to enhance its ability to tailor the site to an individual's preference, we combine information about the purchasing habits of users with similar information from our client partners, to create a personalized user profile. When a user makes a purchase from any of these companies, the companies collect and share that purchase information with us so we can tailor the site to our users' preferences.

Site and Service Updates

We also send the user site and service announcement updates. Members are not able to un-subscribe from service announcements, which contain important information about the service. We communicate with the user to provide requested services and in regards to issues relating to their account via email or phone.

Choice/Opt-out

Our users are given the opportunity to 'opt-out' of having their information used for purposes not directly related to our site at the point where we ask for the information. For example, our order form has an 'opt-out' mechanism so users who order information from us, but don't want any marketing material other that what they have ordered, can keep their email address off of our lists.

Users who no longer wish to receive our newsletter or promotional materials from our partners may opt-out of receiving these communications by using the unsubscribe link in the email or email us at webmaster@thechristianhome.net.

Users of our site are always notified when their information is being collected by any outside parties. We do this so our users can make an informed choice as to whether they should proceed with services that require an outside party, or not.

Notification of Changes

If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes here so our users are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under circumstances, if any, we disclose it. If at any point we decide to use personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, we will notify users by way of an email. Users will have a choice as to whether or not we use their information in this different manner. We will use information in accordance with the privacy policy under which the information was collected.

Some final thoughts on privacy.
Please remember that once personal information is shared with someone else, it can never be totally private again. Anytime you disclose information, whether to Tri Media's www.thechristianhome.net, or to another site on message boards, through email, in chat areas, or in any other manner, that information can be collected and used by others. And if can be retrieved by someone else, you may receive unsolicited messages from other parties in return. Tri Media Marketing and www.thechristianhome.net have security procedures and privacy guides in place, but in the end, you are responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your passwords and/or any account information. Please be careful and responsible whenever you're online.

Though we make every effort to preserve user privacy, we may need to disclose personal information when required by law wherein we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a current judicial proceeding, a court order or legal process served on our Web site.
